Production Company

Created by Joaquin Bear and Lucia Flexer-Marshall in 2022, Soap Impressions is a dance film production company specializing in short works inspired by early cinema and dance theater. Trained in dance and filmmaking respectively, both artists work collaboratively on nearly every aspect of their work.

 

Currently in its second season, Soap Impressions is expanding to include collaborations with additional dancers, choreographers, photographers and more. Most recently, they created films with choreographers Monica Steffey and Sasha Marlan-Librett.
